Blessings from Murrysville,

What an eventful month this past July was!   David, Donna, Jack, Susie and I all participated in the Tea Party that was held in Greensburg, PA on the fourth of July, and what a blessing it was!  It was held at Bushy Run Battlefield and there were a couple thousand folks in attendance.  Even the weather co-operated, although three times I prayed away a threatening dark cloud trying to move in behind us.  The fourth time I looked up it had completely disappeared, so I praised the Lord, who was truly glorified throughout the Greensburg Tea Party.

Every individual speaker acknowledged the dear Lord and all of the blessings that He has bestowed upon this country, as well as the way we, as a nation, have turned our back on Him, His Word and His ways.  Each speaker acknowledged our need for individual repentance as well as national repentance and a turning back to our Creator.

A chiropractor was one of the speakers who came to share all of the dangers of the National Health Care system our present administration is trying to enslave us with.  As he finished sharing on that particular subject, the Lord spoke to his heart and he moved in obedience to present the Gospel in a very profound way.  It was beautiful, coming from deep within his heart!  You could have heard a pin drop.

Every song sung glorified the Lord.  Songs such as the Battle Hymn of the Republic, Amazing Grace, etc. and in closing we all stood together and sang the Lord’s Prayer with deep emotion.   It was a very precious moment, a perfect ending for a great rally that truly brought great glory to the Almighty.  We all left Bushy Run Battlefield praising His Holy Name, completely refreshed.

Shortly after the Tea Party, the Lord said to me twice, “Prepare now for serious travel!”  I kept pondering those words in my heart for I thought all of the travel I have been doing was serious in nature for I have moved out only in obedience to Him.  I take seriously everything He asks of me!  Knowing my heart, He then began to bring back to me different things many of you have spoken to me.

Pastor Sadie called several months ago to tell me that the Lord had led them to pray that someone would give me a new car because of all the heavy duty travel I do.  Pat Depp told me a number of months back that she was praying that He would give me another car because I travel so much. Mylinda Pearson was relieved when my car made it up through the mountains as we came north to Pennsylvania last January.   I must confess that I have been concerned every time I began another trip that I might break down and not reach my destination.  I had put a lot of money in repairs on the car this past year or so and it had very high mileage on it as well.  It didn’t sound good and it didn’t feel good to drive any longer.   Last but not least, the Lord had been speaking to hearts to send me personal love gifts and I had been holding on to them, all the while asking Him what the money was for.  Finally after several more parts stopped working and the car filled with smoke the last time out, I got the picture.  I was to use the love gifts as a down payment on a car.

I began to pray about local dealerships, but could not get a peace on any of them.  I finally asked Him where I was to go and He told me to go up to Apollo to the Ford Dealership for they would have for me the car that He wanted me to have.  The next day I went up and sure enough they had three cars to choose from.  Two of them had a sun roof which I did not want, and the remaining one was the one that gave me great peace.  It was very comfortable as I drove it, no back problem.   That’s not all!  I was able to share my testimony with the young man who sold me the car, and then when he prepared the car for me to leave the dealership, he set the radio on a Southern Gospel radio station for me.  He smiled and said that he thought I would like that station best of all.

To make a long story short, I did not want to go in debt for a new car, but for reasons unknown to me, it didn’t seem to bother Abba, even though He knows that I am not comfortable owing anyone anything,  especially with our economy falling apart as it is.  All He said was, “Trust Me!”  Then He reminded me of six others in ministry who have recently found themselves in a position where they had to replace a vehicle, not wanting to go in debt but with no choice in the matter.  He said, “I am stretching all of you!  Before it is all over you, Myrna, will have to believe me for thousands upon thousands of dollars, to do the work that I’m calling you to do.” Then He brought up out of my spirit a Southern Gospel song that goes like this, “Farther along, we’ll know all about it!  Farther along, we’ll understand why.  Cheer up my brother, live in the sunshine.  We’ll understand it all by and by.”

So to all of those who have called to tell me that you had to replace a vehicle, not wanting to go in debt, be of good courage.  He is for us, not against us!  He ordered it, so He will help us to pay for it.  I just praise His Name for He saw to it that I had a decent down payment, got a good price, a nice rebate, o % financing and double the book value on the car that I traded in, even though they sent it to the junk dealer.

Two days after I bought the car I headed north for some meetings and I must tell you that it was a very relaxing trip in that I was not concerned about breaking down and I had good Southern Gospel music (my favorite) to listen to all the way.  As I traveled through the mountains I really thanked Him for His goodness.  Where and as He leads me, I will continue to follow!

(Psalm 27:14)  “Wait patiently for the Lord.  Be brave and courageous, and He shall strengthen your heart.  Yes, wait patiently upon the Lord!”

Pastor Sue West writes: “Human nature is inclined to run ahead of the Lord.  Some of us want things when we want them and will go to whatever lengths necessary to obtain what we want.  This is not the way the Lord has designed for us.  His way is to be still and know that He is ever present, always working on our behalf and never ceasing to bring about His will for our lives.

“Many times there is an action to take on our part, but never to the extreme of sinning to obtain anything.  Yahweh has foreknowledge of all of our needs and has already made provision to supply those needs.  Our part is to do what we know is necessary to do and then sit back and wait upon Him, leaving the situation in His hands.

“This is where being consciously aware of His love for us comes in, knowing that He will work all things together for good on our behalf.  If we push ahead of His plans for our lives, we will inevitably, somewhere down the road, suffer the consequences of our ‘impatience’.  If something we desire does not come to pass immediately, it is because He has something better for us, or it is not His will for us to have it, or it is not the appointed time or He sees it is not to the benefit of our eternal welfare.  Whatever the case may be, if we have placed our trust in Him, we can rest assured that what we do need will be given.

“He will always answer prayers that are prayed in ‘sincerity and truth’.  Sometimes His answer may be “NO” and sometimes His answer is “YES” while at other times His desire is for us to ‘wait patiently’ until the ‘appointed time’.  It is far better to wait upon Him, seeking His will in any given situation, than for us to try to jump ahead of Him and try to work it for our good by ourselves.   This is a lesson that the Bride in preparation is being taught now more than ever before.  We are in a crucial hour and only Yeshua knows how things will eventually turn out.  So waiting upon the Lord is the best strategy at our disposal.

“It is interesting to note that the word ‘wait’ in this verse comes from the root word kaw-veh, meaning to bind together (by twisting), in comparison to other places in Scripture where the word means to ‘expect’ or ‘tarry’.  A rope is made up of several threads twisted together to give it durability.  When we allow our will to be twisted together as one with His will, we will have durability to ‘patiently endure’ and ‘trust’ that He always has our best interest at heart.”

Rebecca Fryman was recently called by God to 24 hours of silence.  She wrote saying, “It was interesting to be silent for that period of time. It was pointed out to me how powerful speech is and how we should treasure such a gift.  The parasha reading this week was about Ba’alam and the Lord directing his speech to bless Israel instead of cursing Israel.  How much more should we, who proclaim the Lord’s Word, be diligent to bless and not curse.  Life and death truly are in the tongue.  May I always speak ‘life’ and ‘life abundantly.’   Love,  Rivkah”

Sandy Colledge was recently given a prophetic word which she in turn put on a large poster and stood on the steps of the Capitol Building holding it for all to see.  Talk about effective!  It read: “How Can I Bless This Nation When the Blood of the Babies Cries to Me from the Ground!”

Mylinda Pearson writes, “Myrna, I want to share with you what the Lord has been speaking to me lately.  He has been leading me to read books on the sufferings of the people during the 1800’s.  The history of faith and persecution those people experienced has reignited me to draw closer to Him in a deeper more intimate relationship.  Those people had courage, fierce boldness and a will to obey God no matter what the cost.

“The Lord has shown me that we must prepare for the same level of obedience in the days to come.  Throughout the history of those people God consistently directed them, even though they didn’t always understand His bidding.  He gave them divine connections to accomplish the task, and He hid them from imminent danger as they dared to obey. Part of their preparation was to withdraw from all distractions and be sensitive to the still small voice.

“He spoke to them in a language they could understand and it did not necessarily make sense to others.  Their sensitivity to God was critical to their survival.  He made it very clear to me that we, too, must rid ourselves of all distractions and become intimately prepared.  He said that we have waned from our first love and the desire to please Him and be on fire for Him.

“In addition to the books on suffering, I was drawn to a documentary highlighting the Appalachian Trail and the Trail of Tears.  Such a spirit of travail and repentance came over me for the injustices done to the various people groups at the hands of our government and businesses.  Clearly, once again Abba was pointing out the need to look to Him and begin to prepare ourselves for the unexpected changes that loom ahead.

“To sum this up, I believe that Abba is saying for us to come away unto Him, be sensitive to His voice, think it not strange His directions for us in the secret place and be prepared for the unexpected.”      Amen and Amen!  Thank you for sharing, Mylinda!

Note:  Thirty some years ago the Lord shut me away in the country for a little more than two years. During that period of time I was not permitted to watch television, listen to a radio, read a newspaper, magazine or attend meetings of any kind.  The only thing I was permitted to do was study the Word of God, pray and worship.   He wanted me to hear no distracting voices at that time so I would learn to recognize and know His voice.   You see, He knew the kind of hardship and persecution that I would face just a couple of years down the road, but I did not.  I never would have made it through the late 70’s and early 80’s had I not come apart with Him and given Him the time He needed in order to prepare me.  I’m eternally grateful for His love.

Bob & Eva Payne write, “This is our testimony of how the Lord opened all doors for us and made a way for us to buy our first home 4/10/09 at such a time as this.  It all happened to our surprise because Abba brought the opportunity to us, we did not seek it out.

“One day we received a post card from a real estate agent notifying us that there was an open house about a block from where we were living at the time.  We were not looking for a place to buy but we decided to go and check it out.  When we arrived there was a sign outside that said, “Open House Cancelled.”  Our curiosity peaked and we decided to call the real estate agent and make an appointment to see the place.  I was told it was under contract but there was another house for sale on the same street we were living on, just a block away.

“When they described all the things that came with the other house, we became excited because it was over and above the list that we had made of the things we would want in a house if we could buy one.  It came with window coverings, all appliances, washer, dryer, air conditioner and a totally remodeled kitchen and bathroom.

“Since we were not really looking to buy a house at this time, we were not financially prepared.  Nevertheless, the Lord made the way for us to get a VA Loan with 100% financing.  There was no down payment required, just a deposit of $2,000.00 and split transfer tax.  We only had $1.400.00 in our account, so we were not really sure where the rest of the money would come from, but Abba was.  He turned it all around in our favor and had the sellers pay all closing costs. Not only were the closing costs paid for, but we received over $200.00 back at the closing.  We also had a balance of over $200.00 left in our account after paying all basic expenses to the real estate and mortgage companies.  And all of this was provided for us during a mortgage crisis!  To top it all off Abba’s favor spilled over on to our landlord’s family.  You see, his sister was our real estate agent.  How we praise His Holy Name!”   Bob & Eva

Fisher Yang is a South Korean immigrant who stands in front of Union Station in Washington, DC every Tuesday singing and playing hymns on his trumpet.  As members of Congress and staffers pass by on their way to Capitol Hill, he hopes that he is communicating with them in a heavenly language.  Bless his heart his passion is to see them turn to the Lord.

Katharine Schori, an Episcopal Bishop from Anaheim, CA said that it is a great Western heresy to believe that we can be saved as individuals or have a personal relationship with God.

ACLU has filed yet another case against the Louisiana School District for opening the School Board meetings with prayer.  Let us pray, for prayer must be uncensored.

Pastor Gerry Stoltzfoos of Freedom Valley Worship Center in Gettysburg, PA was invited by his own representative to open the State House with prayer.  He was told that he would have to submit the prayer in writing in advance for approval.  When he did, it was immediately rejected.  When asked why the prayer was rejected he was told that it had an offensive word in it.  The Pastor asked what the offensive word was and he was told it was ‘Jesus’.   Although the House would not permit him to pray, he was invited by a representative of the State Senate to open their meetings with the same prayer in Jesus’ name.

Redeemer Fire Fellowship Church in Buffalo, NY had a pipe bomb thrown inside.   There was a bomb attack on a Catholic Church in Mindanao, Philippines which left 5 dead and 34 wounded.

Laos – The authorities are slaughtering the livestock belonging to Christian families because they would not renounce their faith in Yeshua.

India – Hindu militants attack a missionary school because they have converted Hindus to Christianity.

Pakistan – Christians are in hiding after Muslims attacked and burned their homes and church buildings.

Iran – Two jailed Christian women are in danger of being executed.

Somali – Two boys beheaded because their father would not turn over a Church leader to the authorities.

Hungary – Orthodox Jews fear for their lives.  Samaria – Arabs raid Yeshiva in Homesh and burn all of the Jewish Holy Books.

Note:  I could go on and on, but I’ve shared enough that you can see the battle is intensifying in every nation, day by day.  Many are laying down their lives for the sake of the true Gospel of Jesus Christ.  We must pray daily for the persecuted believers in every nation.  All they ask for is our prayers that they be able to endure all that is coming against them.  Lord, have mercy!

New System in Place

Donna has a new system in working order for Fair Havens Missions now.   She has worked hard to set everything up in such a way that my share of the load will be lighter, enabling me more time in the Word and more freedom in travel and ministry.  I am so appreciative of all that she has done in the years past, and certainly for making it a whole lot easier for me at this time.

May I ask you to please pray for Donna as you pray for me, knowing that she will be just as grateful as I am for those prayers?  Also, she has asked me to tell you that beginning August 1st all receipts will be printed out and mailed out at the end of each month.  Hopefully this will not be an inconvenience to anyone.  If it is, please let us know.
