August, 2008
Greetings,
I pray this letter finds you all well and being abundantly blessed by our Lord. By the time you receive this newsletter I will be in the Orient. My schedule was changed because the Lord added another country to our itinerary. In so doing it meant that I leave a little later than I had planned. I am departing August 3rd and Lord willing I will return to Brunswick August 27th.
My first stop will be Beijing where I’ll meet Cindy. Then we will go on to Lanzhou to visit and pray for the children (many handicapped) and caregivers in a Christian orphanage that we support. From there we go on to Cambodia, Vietnam, and Myanmar where we will be ministering to the Pastors in those three countries. They are HUNGRY! Bless their hearts! Hong Kong will be our last stopping place.
I’ve been told they are anxiously awaiting our arrival, and we are praying that the Lord will strengthen and refresh them through the time we will have with them. We will be teaching three sessions a day for three days in each country. I am told we are being given two to three hours for each session for teaching and ministry and they will be eager participants. PTL! I just marvel at the way the dear Lord has used Tony to pull this all together and so quickly. To God be the glory!
Many of you called and wrote to tell me that you are praying for this mission. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you! Things are very tense in both China and Vietnam right now. To find safe places to come together is very difficult. Even so, the Lord has been working that out for us. Nevertheless we have been told that this mission must be well bathed in prayer, so please pray for us when the Lord brings us to mind.
Also, I want to thank those of you who took the time to write or call with words of encouragement, as well as personal testimonies of confirmation, concerning the July newsletter. I deeply appreciate you. The Lord kept me up for two nights before I sat down to begin writing that letter, telling me why it had to be written.
He reminded me that He had me write a year ago saying that He was going to move across the Bible Belt in America and begin to lift the skirts of the preachers and teachers to expose their nakedness.
At the beginning of this year He spoke again saying that He was going to reveal those ministers and ministries who are not kosher and have refused to repent. He also said that if they don’t repent He will bring them down.
For three years now He has been telling me that we will actually see some drop dead behind their pulpits very much like what happened to Ananias and Saphira. He said that what will come against the Church will resemble an earthquake. I must tell you that I fear for many of them. They have been given years to repent but to no avail! Please join me and pray earnestly for a spirit of conviction that will bring repentance to fall upon them all before it is too late.
A Call to Humility
Yeshua taught that to be a leader, we must be a servant! He was never self-serving! If we look at His life and His ministry, everything He did was in service. We can see this so clearly when He stood up in the synagogue and said, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” ((Isa. 61 & Luke 4).
When Yeshua stood among His disciples and defined greatness and being a leader in the Kingdom of God, He said, “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and give His life as a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45).
Speaking with Zacchaeus in his home, Yeshua said, “For the Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost.” (Luke 19:10)
Let us pray that God will raise up leaders who know how He has made and gifted them for service, and who willingly serve Him and those He has placed in their care, leaders who have skills to equip others for service. A leader with a servant’s heart will lay down his or her own agenda and take up His.
Leaders with a servant’s heart will humble themselves and wait for Him to lift them up in His timing. (Luke 14:7-11). They can risk serving others, because they trust that God is in control of their lives. It is only when you trust God with absolute control of your life that you can risk losing yourself in service to others.
When I see and hear so many leaders today speaking so arrogantly and prideful, I often think of Yeshua pulling away from the Passover (Seder) Dinner to wrap himself in a towel, kneeling down with a wash basin to bathe the feet of the disciples He dearly loved. (John 13). In Matthew 11:29 He referred to Himself as “gentle and humble” in spirit. Philippians 2:7-8 says, “He humbled Himself and became obedient to death, even death on a cross.”
In Matthew 18:4 Yeshua said,“Whoever humbles himself as a child is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.” Brothers and Sisters, childlike humility is a requirement for service among His people. Yeshua taught humility because it was at the very core of who He was. He taught humility, and He also lived it. What a model He is for all of us!
The Scriptures place great value on humility! Proverbs 15:33 says, “Humility comes before honor!” James said, “Humble yourselves before the Lord and He will lift you up!”
Pride is the opposite of humility! Pride is an inflated view of who we really are. It is arrogant self-worship! It is pride that sets you above others causing you to believe that you deserve service from them. “Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.”
If we believe that God is calling us to a place of leadership, we must let go of all pride. We must humble ourselves before God, and allow Him to bring it up and out of us by the root, for pride is deep within everyone and only God can set us free of it. Pride ruins leaders!
Humility is when we come to the realization and acceptance of the fact that we are totally dependent upon God’s love and mercy. It grows through a stripping away of all self-sufficiency. It also grows as we enter in to service to others.
A Word for America – A Word for the Church
We hear over and over, “Revival! Revival! Revival is coming to our cities and our land.” Lord, would that this be so, for revival is the natural result of repentance in and by the House of God.
But we have not repented, as Abba has pled with us to do. Instead we have become increasingly stubborn in our spiritual pride and in our false gospels. We take no warning from the downfall of great ministers and ministries.
Yes, revival shall come, but only after we do repent – and we will not repent until we come under great judgment, for we persist in great sin.
Children, fall on your faces before the Lord your God, that you may be spared the worst of the coming judgment. Take your shelter under His wings. Hide in the cleft of the Rock, as He shows you - for now His judgment is coming; and it shall not be diverted, nor delayed beyond His time.
Isaiah 42:24-5 “Who was it that gave Jacob to be plundered, Israel to the despoilers? Was it not the Lord, against whom we have sinned? In His ways they refused to walk, His Law they disobeyed. So He poured out wrath upon them, His anger, and the fury of battle; it blazed about them, yet they did not realize; it burned them, but they took it not to heart.”
Matthew 19:25-6 When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and said, “Who then can be saved?” Jesus looked at them and said, “For human beings this is impossible, but for God all things are possible.” By Jim Kermott

Girl Scouts of America – This organization has been moving further toward the left for a number of years. Now they are introducing new curriculum for every level of scouting, promoting “social activism”, emphasizing the power of “Self” and jumping on the politically correct bandwagon of “Global Warming”. A Wiccan group makes their badges, and Planned Parenthood provides resource material. “The God of all creation ordained this Nation for a people seeking a place where they could be free to worship, grow, and raise families who would serve Him. He called this land to be one of open opportunities for the masses.
“This land was ordained by God to be one where freedom would abound under righteous rule, and where men would stand in awe of Him for the many blessings they would recognize that His hand had provided.
“However, the government, and some of the people, have chosen to turn their back on God and spurn His love and mercy, and they in turn will soon experience life and wealth without His hand of love, but under His hand of justice, and the emptiness without Him and His provision. There will come times when they will tremble and quake in the shaking that has already begun and it will escalate until they repent and turn to the Lord. They will, for a while, hold on to wealth that has little meaning with nothing to purchase.
“The famine that I will send will be just that, a famine of all they need, even to the hearing of My Word; they will begin to know the absence of My Presence in ways that they could not even imagine before, says the Lord.
“The shaking and judgment has already begun in the so-called household of faith, but many there have treated My Word with contempt or complacency, and My love they have taken for granted. The time for them, that is those who call themselves My people but have little witness to that statement, is now at hand and I will lift My hand and I will remove from them any awareness of My Presence, and they will know what it is to feel the wilderness closing in on them. They will awaken to a dark tomorrow and many more until they turn to Me and seek My face with a contrite and repentant heart. Then I will hear their cry and draw them unto Myself and then they will know Me as never before.
“There are many however, who are Mine, whose hearts are always in tune with Mine, and they will never even feel the shaking or any absence of My continuing fellowship with them. This is My heart for all, the diligent and the backslidden, and none have ever been excluded from My love. Rejoice and be in Praise for My soon return!” Hallelu Yah!
Home in Glory!
John Savage went home to be with his Lord Friday, June 27th. He passed away at home in Brunswick after a lengthy illness. John was only 51 years of age. Many of you knew and loved John, just as I did, however many of you did not know him.
John worked with us for three years leading worship as the Lord called us to Gather the Intercessors together in various cities, especially in Kentucky, where He was raising up good strong intercession for Israel, America and the Church. John was a very powerful Intercessor and an awesome worship leader. We will surely miss him, but I know John is happy for he is in a much better place and now he can worship his Lord to his heart’s content and with no more pain!

Please pray – through the years the twenty-one days extending from the 17th of Tammuz until the 9th of AV (July 20th through August 10th this year) represented a time of bitterness and destruction for the Jews, and a time of great devastation for Israel. History records many of the catastrophic events that have taken place on these dates:
On the 17th of Tammuz Moses smashed the tablets of the Torah at Mt. Sinai, daily sacrifices ceased, a Torah Scroll was burned in the Temple, an idol was erected in the Temple and the city walls were finally breached.
On the 9th of Av 586 BC the Babylonian army destroyed the Temple. In 70 AD Titus and the Roman army destroyed the Temple. In 1096 AD the crusades began. On the 9th of AV Jews were expelled from England, France, Spain and Portugal and thousands of Polish Jews were massacred. Also the declaration for World War I began and plans for the annihilation of Jews were drafted starting World War II on the 9th of AV.
In Israel they are calling a Daniel Fast (Daniel 1:12) from July 20th through August 10th. Keep in mind that just a couple of years ago about 5,000 missiles were fired from Lebanon in an attempt to destroy Israel. Today there are many threats and much pressure being applied to Israel during this time period.
The Messianic believers are calling all of us outside the Land to please join them in the Daniel Fast for Israel and her people. As we fast, we will be joining in the Spirit with 12 congregations from Tel Aviv, 12 congregations from Northern Israel and 12 congregations South of Israel. I feel a need to tell you that there have been Watchmen in our ranks who have received word that there will be an attack in this country and New York City was spoken. Let us join our brothers and sisters in Israel on this fast and pray.
Let us pray for His protection over Israel, and an open fountain of salvation over Israel, and her Arab neighbors in the surrounding nations. Let us also pray for the four winds of the Spirit to bring the Jews back to Jerusalem and back to their God and Messiah. Let us also pray that God will raise up Godly leadership in Israel, the Arab Nations, the USA and even in the Church who will recognize His covenant with Israel and stand with her.
Short Term Missions
Jan Watkins is still in Fiji and Jan Wilker is in the Ukraine. Please keep them well covered in prayer,
Tony, Cindy, Bob, Enoch, Marissa and I would appreciate your prayers for us as we minister in the Orient, but I would also ask that you please pray for all of the Pastors we will be ministering to at each venue. Everything is very tense in those countries, especially for believers and even worse for the Pastors. May all of His plans and purposes be fulfilled in all of these missions.
