Greetings from Vero Beach!
After two and a half months filled with travel, and packing to relocate in between trips, it has been a rather smooth transition. I’m in Vero Beach, Florida now, with everything set in place, and everything is up and running. I was even able to take this past weekend off to rest, and rest I did.
The Lord had been telling me for months that He plans to base me in Israel once again. So for many months I had been quietly waiting on Him for further direction. At times I would just assume that my destination was going to be Israel, while at other times, I felt that He was going to take me some place else first.
Toward the end of last year, when I had been fasting, and staying at His feet, He told me that from then on His Remnant would wait on Him for each assignment, and the assignments would come “suddenly.” He said that it would be necessary for us to keep ourselves available, flexible, and able to adapt to every situation, as well as every set of circumstances, we might find ourselves in.
Well, let me tell you that He meant what He said. Every call is coming “suddenly!” Not just for me, but for many others as well. I have been receiving a number of telephone calls, letters and emails sharing with me about the “sudden” call that has just been received. It certainly does keep grass from growing under our feet, and that’s for sure.
One evening, during the seven week period of travel, I came home tired after several days of intense meetings in Washington, DC. The only thing on my mind was a hot shower and my bed, but I decided to check the telephone messages first in case there was anything of extreme importance.
Lo and behold, the very first message on the machine was from Sharon Stitely in Hollywood, Florida. Sharon is Director of “If My People” and she was calling me to tell me that the Lord had told her to call me to come to Florida for their next city wide gathering of pastors and intercessors. He wanted me to share a little bit on Israel, and lead the gathering in prayer for Israel.
Well, that was not what I wanted to hear as tired as I was. I began to say to the Lord, “I know Sharon hears from you, Lord, but this can’t be you! There are others in Florida that could do it for them!” No sooner did I have that out of my mouth when I heard Sharon saying, “I know there are others here that could do it, Myrna, but the Lord said, “Call Myrna!”
As I stood there at the answering machine, the Lord very calmly said to me, “Do what I’m calling you to do!” Needless to say, I called Sharon the next morning to tell her that I would be there.
That very same day I entered in to dialogue with the Lord, asking Him why He was having me make the third trip to Florida within a seven week period of time. I couldn’t understand why everything had not been set up so it could all be done in just one trip. I felt that it was a waste of money to make three trips to the same state in a short period of time. I had just made two trips to Washington, D.C., and I felt the same way about that.
The Lord immediately said to me, “Can you put a price tag on the work I am calling you to do for Me? I will send you in and out as I deem necessary, and each one of these trips has been necessary.” Well, needless to say, I said no more. I just made the arrangements I needed to make, went back to Florida to do what the Lord asked me to do, and I was so blessed doing so.
At the end of our time of dialogue, I must tell you that the Lord opened my eyes and allowed me to see that He was calling me back to South Florida for a season. I saw it all so clearly! PTL !!!
That same day I was speaking with Faith Keene on the telephone, and I told her that the Lord was calling me back to South Florida for a season. She immediately said, “Myrna, there is a house for rent right across the street from me.” Faith lives in Vero Beach.
I cut her off saying that I thought the Lord was calling me further south. I went on to share with her that if I had my choice though, it would be Vero Beach. Not three hours later I received an email from Mona McReynolds in Kansas City telling me that she saw a house in a natural type setting with a lot of trees all around, a quiet place, conducive to writing. She went on to say that I would be in contact with someone who was going to tell me about a house. That would be the house, and as I began to move in that direction, everything would fall in place like dominos.
As I read Mona’s email, I thought to myself, “That is exactly what Faith said to me earlier in the day.” Well, I prayed and wrestled with that all night long, and awakened knowing that I had to call Faith back. Just before I called her back, I received an email from Mack Nolen saying, “Seek first the Kingdom of God and all other things will be added unto you!” He went on to say, “Myrna, the Lord tells me that it has been your life style to seek first the Kingdom of God, therefore He is going to give you the desire of your heart.” Immediately I thought, “Vero Beach!”
Shortly after that, I telephoned Faith, and when she answered the telephone, she began to laugh. She said she knew it was me calling back for the rest of the story. She went on to share with me that the Lord had been telling her for the past three months that He would soon be bringing me back to Vero Beach for a season. Immediately the joy of the Lord began to fill my entire being. It was so awesome! I took the name of the Landlord from Faith, and began to set the wheels in motion to make the move.
I cannot begin to tell you how fast everything fell in to place. It was just as Mona had said, “like dominos falling”. I made the trip to Florida, signed the lease, and went on to do what the Lord had called me to do there. Then I went home to reserve a truck to take the lighter load with me ahead of the heavier load. That would give me the time needed to get all of the utilities hooked up in Vero Beach before everything else came. Doug Curlee helped me to empty out the storage unit where we kept the humanitarian aid.
Willie Davis called me to tell me that he and his family would come down from Louisville to load the heavy equipment and furniture. Lawrence Haby said that he would come and help to pack both trucks, which he did. Patti Davis and the Davis family would vacuum the office after everything was packed, lock up the house and return the key to the landlord. I gave all of the utility companies a cancellation date, then I prepared to leave for two weeks in Israel.
When I came back from Israel I was extremely tired, and bothered by jet lag. Still, I had only four days before I would take the first truck and drive fourteen and a half hours to Vero Beach. How I thank God for the Remnant in Hopkinsville. Johna, Betty, Elaine, Iris and Lawrence all converged on that 15 footer and had it packed and ready for me to go within about three hours. Early the next morning I began to do a thorough cleaning. I left just as soon as I finished.
I arrived safely in Vero Beach, exhausted, but oh so grateful for the good weather I had been able to travel in. Stormy weather had been predicted for the entire weekend. In Vero Beach, Jodi, Gregg, Mark, and Marion, were all there to help unload the truck.
As soon as I arrived, and they had the truck unloaded, Marion took me to sign for all of the utilities. Jodi and Gregg came the next morning to cut all of the grass for me. In the meantime, I was cleaning the kitchen cupboards and bathrooms so that I was able to have almost everything I had brought with me put away before Willy brought all of the big pieces in.
Four days later, Willy arrived in another 15 footer, with my car in tow. He and Gregg unloaded that truck. Willy set up the computer and the guest bedroom for me. Bless his heart, he was only there for a day after that, before he had to turn around and return to Louisville. His trip back was not an easy one either.
Talk about going the extra mile. Please know that I could not have done it without all of these brothers and sisters, who pitched in to get the job done. How they all must have blessed the heart of our Father. There are no words to tell you what their love and help has meant to me. I pray abundant blessings upon each and every one of them. They were precious witnesses to the humble, servant heart of our precious Yeshua, without even opening their mouths. Our relationships will not end, but will go on in to eternity. Hallelujah!
I want to take this opportunity to tell all of you in the state of Kentucky that it has been a wonderful three years with you. I treasure all of the precious relationships the Lord has built between so many of us. All the dear ones I have met through radio, and all those I have met through the Gathering of Intercessors meetings which we held all across the state, are so very precious to me. Please know that I am not saying good bye, for the Lord is just expanding my territory once again. I will still be ministering and networking with all of you there in Kentucky, as the Lord leads, and I would like to extend an open invitation to all of you to come join us in Vero Beach, FL. Anytime! Treat it as a mission trip and come share with the Remnant here. This is a very beautiful city, but a dry area spiritually. Your ministry here in this area will be very much appreciated.
The hard part about being a trailblazer (forerunner ) is having to break camp and move when your season in a particular area is finished. You work so closely with the intercessors, in the area where He plants you for a season, that they become like family. Yet, at the same time, you look forward to the new relationships and challenges facing you in the city to which He is calling you. It also provides an opportunity for those you leave behind to come join you in ministry to brothers and sisters they do not know. So I say to all of you, “Come!” Allow the Lord to make you a blessing to His Remnant here in Vero Beach, and allow them to bless you. You will be blessed as you step out with the Lord, and so will they.
The last year that I was in Kentucky, Jodi Pacicca began to pray that the Lord would allow me to see some of the fruit of our ministry in Kentucky. I didn’t know this. About the first of this year, I began receiving cards, letters and even phone calls from pastors and intercessors all across the state sharing their heart with me. They would share how our ministry had touched their heart, or made a difference in their life or ministry. I even had a lengthy letter from the Salvation Army’s Homeless Shelter in Richmond, KY. They had been listening to the broadcast every day for the past two years. I was on a forty day fast at the time, and because I was hearing from so many, sometimes heart wrenching letters, I began to ask the Lord if He was preparing to take me home. He assured me that He was not, in fact, He told me that He was granting me long life. He said that I have many more to raise up for Him. Then, I found out that Jodi had been praying for this for quite some time. God sure does answer prayers!!!
Since I’m often referred to as a trailblazer, I’m often asked just what type of ministry that entails. First of all a trailblazer is one who has been chosen in the furnace of affliction. They have been through the fire many times over. Theirs is a very disciplined lifestyle. There is nothing this world has to offer that can entice them. They will not compromise, nor will they allow man to bring them in to bondage. They do not allow anyone or anything to stop them from doing the will of God. They are completely sold out to Yeshua.
Trailblazers enjoy quiet time at His feet, and they gladly receive His instructions and strategies before moving out. They have no agenda of their own, but move on His agenda only. When they are sent out, they go with a mandate, and His authority is behind every word they speak. They are sent out, by God, before anyone else, to remove all obstructions for the purpose of preparing the way for what the Lord is going to do in the area, and to move forward His Kingdom. Trailblazers are willing to lay down their very life, if necessary, for the sake of the Gospel. They walk in the favor of the Lord. He calls them ‘friend!’
Now don’t think that because they have the favor of God upon their life that they are not bothered by troubles or persecution. Those who do not understand the call and anointing upon their lives will bring a lot of persecution their way. Those who are insecure in their own position will feel threatened by them and move to try to abort the work they’ve been sent by God to do. I’ve run in to this many times.
Not too long ago I heard a woman say, “I have trouble with Myrna!” She went on to say that she did not believe that I was of the Lord. Would you believe that this woman does not even know me, nor has she ever spent any time with me? She was simply repeating the words of her pastor, who is a very controlling individual, and extremely insecure in his position. One who detests prophets who will not tickle his ear, and one who does not appreciate women in ministry either. Let me say this is a very mild case. My book will be full of examples that will shock you! But, you know, a trailblazer cannot allow anyone or anything to offend them or distract them. Commit them to Jesus, forgive them and go on with Yeshua.
How many times I’ve said that it is time that we all must learn to discern each other by the Spirit. Discern each other’s call, anointing, and authority. Every one of us should be secure in our own relationship with God, and in our individual position and giftings. Each one of us is a unique individual in Yeshua. Each one of us has a unique calling, unique anointing, and unique giftings. Yet we are all on equal footing. There is no need for jealousy. Pride and false humility are the culprits behind the cruel spirit of jealousy.
