Greetings from Brunswick,

 

I have mixed emotions as I begin to write this newsletter.  Many precious brothers and sisters in the Lord are in the midst of those horrid fires raging all along the coasts of Southern California.  Many of them have contacted us for prayer cover as they have had to flee their homes. We are praying for them, trusting the dear Lord to protect them wherever they are.  On top of the fires, there has also been an earthquake hit California.  

 

The fires began the very same day that the Governor of California signed in to law a Government Education Bill which will no longer permit any of their school textbooks to use the words “Mom, Dad, Father, Mother, Husband or Wife”.  Also, any boy who decides that he would rather use the locker rooms or restrooms designated for girls may do so, and no one can stop him, and visa versa.  It seems that all of these things are hindrances to the Homosexual, Lesbian Community movement. The age groups of the children affected are Kindergarten through High School. This law will be activated January, 2008. 

 

Pastor Vincent Xavier of California was given a prophetic Word from the Lord just a few days before all of this began, and he sounded the alarm.  He has also called on all pastors in Southern California to call their flocks, including the parents of the children, to join him and take to the streets to challenge the Governor and other Lawmakers to try to have it rescinded. Once it is activated it will be too late! Out of all of Southern California, Pastor Xavier found only about forty pastors who were willing to take to the streets to make the stand for righteousness. 

 

Where on earth is the outcry?  Where is the outrage?  Apparently this was the straw that broke the camel’s back and caused such swift reprisal from the Lord.  Our Politicians and Lawmakers fail to realize that He sees what they are doing behind closed doors. He has warned and warned but to no avail.  They are determined with faces set like stone, refusing to repent! 

 

“America, you have profaned My Holy Name! You preach a politically correct Gospel that is not even truth! You despise everything I love and love everything that I despise!” 

 

As I awakened early on Shabbat about a month ago, I heard the Lord say, “I have removed My favor from America! Soon you will begin to see multiple terrorist bombings in your country like nothing you have ever seen before.”  He went on to say that America is on a slippery slope to destruction because she has dug her heels in refusing to repent.  

 

The Lord is saying to all of us, “Be a voice to those all around you that it is time to repent! In spite of all the destruction they have seen, they remain defiant.  They do not realize that all that has been happening in America is because of the sins of America.  The sins of America, and her people, are calling for My justice, therefore I must bring America to her knees. They have left Me with no choice!”   
 

As in the Days of Noah and Lot!

 

“This is a generation that has partaken of the forbidden fruit, sought after the lusts of the flesh, caused many to eat their revelries and falsehoods.  I AM coming as I promised, but the promise will only be revealed and made known to those who have steadfastly journeyed with Me. Who have laid aside their desires and longings, have seen repentance through the eyes of My Son and laid down their harlotries, their wonderings, their pride and lies to take up the radiant banner that proclaims they are the seed of Abraham. Walking in profound enduring faith to realize that the Hope of this world is soon to come again, burning a trail of Glory to set the world on fire and establish a Kingdom of Righteousness, a Kingdom of justice and mercy, a Kingdom that will know how to work and be satisfied, a Kingdom that will know no death or misery, a rebirth of souls and spirits and of nations who will worship the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.”  Hallelujah!  This Word of the Lord sent by Linda Clark

“The Western third and the Southeastern U.S. is under extreme drought.  Southern California is experiencing raging fires which have caused the evacuation of thousands of people. New Orleans is experiencing flooding again, and national gasoline prices are averaging over $2.80.  China and Japan have been dumping the dollar on foreign markets, devaluing the dollar against other currencies, while oil prices are hovering at record levels.

 

“Recently the Governor of California signed in to law bills designed to teach homosexuality as normal in California public schools.  A School Board in Maine voted to   give birth control pills to sixth graders without parental notification.  The U.S. Congress is considering legislation to require employers to hire homosexuals by not allowing businesses to discriminate based on “sexual orientation”. The Bush Administration’s relationships with China, Russia, Iran and Turkey have been strained in recent weeks, calling some attention to those nations that are prophetically involved in End Time prophecies. 

 

“In addition, President Bush has bent over backwards to promote other gods at the expense of Christianity.  In meeting with the Dalai Lama, he referred to him as “His Holiness” and “a great spiritual leader”. Congress followed suit by awarding the Buddhist the Congressional Medal of Honor, the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a civilian.  Earlier, in responding to Ramadan, President Bush said, “I believe in an Almighty God, and I believe all of the world, whether they be Muslim, Christian, or any other religion, prays to the same God. That’s what I believe!”  Meantime Condi Rice is pressuring Israel to divide the city of Jerusalem in a “Land for Peace” deal.

 

“Most would never connect all of these current events, but from a spiritual sense, they may well be connected.  The U.S. through her leadership is on a fast track of turning away from God.  If the leadership of the U.S. reflects the nation as a whole, it is apparent that America is turning away from the Lord. It is time that we all stand firm in the Lord!”

President Bush is the first President in U.S. history to celebrate Ramadan in the White House. He is also the first President to worship in a Shinto Temple, and the first one to host the Dalai Lama publicly.

 

As he was preparing for their Iftaar Dinner, he said, “We, Laura and I, want American citizens to see us hosting an Iftaar Dinner.  This is the seventh one in the seven years I have been President. It gives me a chance to say, “Ramadan Mubarak,” which means Ramadan is “blessed by God”. As usual he went on talking about what a great religion Islam is. What a peaceful religion Islam is!  How Muslims, Buddhists and Christians worship the same God and how each religion has their own way to Heaven.  How many people this President has confused and or deceived.  His beliefs are that of a Universalist, not a true Christian. Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father, and there is only one true and living God and that is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.  His Name is Yahweh!

 

Pentagon – The day before President Bush hosted an Iftaar Dinner at the White House, a Navy Imam lifted his voice to Allah as he called more than 100 Department of Defense employees to prayer at a celebration of Ramadan.  He prayed in Arabic while our uniformed personnel, civilians and family members knelt down on mats and faced Mecca to chant prayers to Allah. Some of the officers have said that the whole thing was demoralizing.

 

U.S. House – voted for the first time to honor the Islamic holiday Ramadan, commending them for their faith.  Thank God that some of the House members refused to be a part of it. One brother said, “I am not opposed to commending any religion for their faith. The problem is that any attempt to do so for Jews or Christians is immediately condemned as breaching the non-existent line between Church and State by the same elite.”

 

 U.S. Marine Corps – also celebrated Ramadan at the Washington Navy Yard.  Some of the officials are concerned that this outreach helps legitimize some U.S. Islamic groups with covert or overt ties to extremists, a problem that is also occurring at the FBI and the Justice Department. 

 

Note: There are times when Kingdom Government must prevail over politically correct civil government and these are some of those times. The Bible teaches that leaders who embrace, tolerate or celebrate foreign gods bring suffering and disaster upon their nations. In New York they even decorated the Empire State Building for Ramadan, and plan to make it an annual celebration.  Lord, have mercy for they know not what they do!

Warning to President Bush and Condi Rice

 

Hal Lindsey said that the Palestinians and the Israelis are scheduled to meet at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD this November. “This major “Peace-Summit” is the brainchild of the Bush Administration and is under the supervision of Secretary of State Condi Rice.”

 

He said that he is stunned at the way Condi Rice is pressuring Israel to drop all of their redline demands, points that they cannot concede. Both sides have redlines, but only Israel is being pressured to concede all of theirs, and they must do so before the Summit or she said that they will be blamed if it fails.

 

He went on to say that he fears for President Bush and Condi Rice, as well as his beloved country. He said they both must be ignorant of the Scriptures and quoted the prophet Zechariah speaking in the Name of the Lord saying, “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples …” The people surrounding Jerusalem are all of the Arab nations. As predicted they truly have become intoxicated over possessing Jerusalem. Like drunken people, their emotions, inflamed with religious zeal, are causing them to do unwise, reckless and violent things.

 

Hal went on to quote the rest of the passage from Zechariah which reads, “All who would seek to heave Jerusalem away will surely be cut in pieces.” Then, he went on to warn both the President and Condi Rice, “You are only endangering yourselves and this nation with the diverse curse that is promised from above. Mr. President, there is nothing on this earth worth what you are doing.  In the power of the Spirit of God, I warn you both, “Stop, before it is too late!”   

 

Pat Robertson said that Secretary of State Condi Rice has been pushing Israel hard to make more concessions in the hopes that the “Palestinians” will play ball.” Pat went on to say that while the Bush Administration has sought to portray itself as going along with the Israeli decisions rather than imposing its will on the Jewish State, the mask has slipped a number of times, usually when the U.S. feels the time is running out. To date, the past three decades of U.S. Diplomacy has resulted in the erosion of Israel’s security and the strengthening of Israel’s enemies.”

 

As Condi insists that Jerusalem be divided, Pat warns, “He that touches Jerusalem touches the apple of God’s eye!” He said, “If we wrest east Jerusalem away from the Jews and give it to the “Palestinians” we are risking the wrath of God on this nation!”

U.S. Senate Chaplain Barry Black says the U.S. like past great civilizations such as the Roman Empire could collapse due to a decline in family values, a decline in religion, a pre-occupation with pleasure and overspending on materialism. He said that the parallels are frightening. He went on to say, “God has to be the foundation” for social progress and justice.”     

Dalai Lama – was recently installed as a professor at Emory University in Georgia as Tibetan Monks, wearing large moon shaped yellow hats chanted, played cymbals, gongs, and horns.  He now holds a faculty ID card. On the same weekend he delivered a lecture on the basics of Buddhism to thousands and participated in a conference on depression.  He will be providing private teaching sessions with both students and faculty.

 

Miami – A math teacher at Miami Central High, Tahmeed Ahmad, wielding two butcher knives and vodka bottles to use as explosives, chanted “Death to America” and told Homestead Air Reserve Base guards he wanted to kill soldiers. Authorities said that they don’t believe that he is a terrorist, but just wanted to commit suicide when he attacked the policemen stationed at the West Gate just before midnight Sunday. Although he has been arrested and added to a terrorist watch list, they don’t really see him as a threat.  Unreal!

 

Phoenix – The FBI alerted law enforcement agencies last month that an al-Qaeda terrorist now in detention had talked of masterminding a plot to set a series of devastating forest fires around the western U.S.  Officials there did not heed the warning. The FBI report said that the detainee, who was not named, said the plan involved three or four people setting wildfires using timed devices in Colorado, Montana, Utah and Wyoming that would detonate in forests and grasslands after the operatives had left the country. 

 

Rocky Mountain – Two Meals on Wheels workers were stabbed as they were preparing meals in Lakeside Baptist Church. One died and one is in critical condition. These two women spent their time making certain that the community received a hot meal each day.

 

Akron – The City Council of Akron, OH is asking the clergy for help in coming up with a new prayer to open it’s meetings after dropping the Lord’s Prayer to avert a lawsuit. The threat came from Barry Lynn, of United for Separation of Church and State.

 

North Carolina – Attorneys for the city of Fayetteville and for Cumberland County issued memos to city and county leaders requesting that local government employees refrain from invoking the Name of Jesus during prayers at official functions. They claim that to pray in Jesus’ Name amounts to an unconstitutional endorsement of religion. 

 

Bloomington – Buddha is welcome but the Bible is banned at the Bloomington, IN City Hall. Officials there booted a display of the Ten Commandments erected by Christians wanting equal treatment with the Far East religion promoted by Dalai Lama. Jim Billingsly said, “These commandments are our symbol of peace, and we want to include them with the city’s display to promote religious enlightenment. We want to make it clear that we do not agree with the ideology of the Dalai Lama or Buddhist beliefs. We are Christians and believe in one God, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”

 

Cape Girardeau – In the face of opposition a Missouri Church is fighting to be able to continue a ministry that distributes food to the area needy and low income residents. The outreach is coordinated throughout the national ministry known as “Angel Food”. Those who receive the groceries pay a small fee. Because of that small fee they are being accused of operating a retail business in a residential area. Pastor Strong will go before the Mayor and Commissioners in a public hearing in November.  Let us pray for this ministry to their low income seniors.

 

Vermont – A Christian based law firm is representing a Vermont student who is suing her High School for not allowing her to start a Christian Club. She submitted a written request seeking official recognition of “Youth Alive” which is a student run Christian Club.  The school district recognizes several other clubs including a Gay/Straight Organization, the Arabic Club, The Outing Club, and the Student Coalition on Human Rights.  However, “Youth Alive” was denied recognition. A lawsuit has been filed on behalf of “Youth Alive” and we need to pray that justice be done here.

 

Tallahassee – Governor Crist views it as a sign of respect, but, for some, the mezuzah hanging outside his Capitol office has morphed into a controversial symbol. Civil Rights activists say that by hanging the icon outside his office he has granted the government’s endorsement of a religious symbol, which in turn could turn the Governor’s office in to a multipurpose shrine for religions of all ilks. The mezuzah was a gift to Governor Crist from a friend who accompanied him to the Holy Land.  It is made out of Jerusalem stone.

 

Michigan – “Kill Christians and Jews if they don’t believe in Allah and Mohammed” was printed on fliers and distributed on Michigan cars, according to the Macomb Michigan Daily.  The culprits were advising people to “fight those who do not believe”. One of the detectives said, “We don’t know what it means other than suggesting violence to Jews and Christians.”   Unbelievable! Michigan hosts a large Muslim population.

 

Somerset County – A Christian couple who have an unblemished record of caring for almost thirty vulnerable children will have their latest foster son taken away from them because they have refused to sign new sexual equality regulations. They said that for them to do so would cause them to go against their Christian beliefs. Under the new orders they would have been required to discuss same-sex relationships with an eleven year old and tell him that gay partnerships are just as acceptable as heterosexual marriage. If they had teenagers they would be required to take them to Gay Association Meetings.  Because they refuse to do this, the foster son, who has been in their care for two years, will be taken away, and they will no longer be able to care for foster children.  

 

Note:  I pray that I have shared just enough with you that you can see what is really happening here in America. I could go on and on! War has been declared on Christianity! It is happening in every state! The Lord said to tell you to “prepare to be persecuted and betrayed.”  He said He is calling His people to come to Him, rest in Him, and allow Him to do the deep work in them that needs to be done, so that when those times come they will be able to react properly. To do so will be of extreme importance!

 

The Lord told me that the persecution will begin as lawsuits filed against us, restrictions put upon us, and new laws written to limit our voices.  We are beginning to see this now, and the momentum will begin to build and become fierce!  This is just the beginning of many woes! He said that He is warning us now so that we won’t be discouraged, but will be prepared.  He said, “Fill yourself with My Word, and you will have no room for fear.”
 

In Acts 3:19 we see Peter saying, “Now, repent of your sins and turn (return) to God so that your sins may be wiped away. Then, times of refreshing (revival) will come from the Presence of the Lord, and He will again send you Yeshua your Messiah,  for He must remain in Heaven until the time for the “final restoration of all things” as God promised long ago through Moses and His prophets.” 

 

Notice that Peter was speaking to his own people, those who were in the Temple.  Today Peter’s words are speaking to all of us who are in Yeshua, calling us to repent and return to Abba. Then we will see revival! Many of us have lost our first love, strayed from the straight and narrow path, and He is calling us to abandon our own ways and return to Him, His way, as He has defined for us in the Scriptures.

 

We have idols in our hearts! We lack courage and boldness! We have not been the salt and light that He meant us to be, nor have we been the witnesses that He needs us to be. Many of us are fearful of man, and fearful of the future!  We must learn to humble ourselves before Him, still our spirits, and allow Him to cleanse and prepare our temples!  If we love Him, we will obey Him!   We must be a holy people, for we serve a holy God! 

 

Often times we follow after man instead of God! The prophets have muddied, twisted and perverted His Word. Seldom is the pure Gospel of Yeshua Ha Mashiach preached, but rather a Gospel of compromise. Many have prostituted their anointing for personal gain.   These are only some of the many reasons why He is sending some of us to call His Body to repent and return to Him, His way, for His ways are higher than our ways! There is a way that looks right to man, but it always leads to death or destruction.  

 

Short Term Missions

 

Sarah Mead, and the team she was with in Israel, has returned home rejoicing! They were celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem. Sandy Sanok has also returned from celebrating all of the Fall Feasts in Israel and said that it was a trip of a life time.  Tom Burks just returned from his trip to Israel, grateful for all of your prayers, for his trip was certainly a fruitful one. He was blessed, and he was a blessing! They all asked that I thank you for your prayers. They were all so appreciative!  

 

Thank You for praying for all of us who were celebrating Tabernacles in Macon, GA. It was such a blessing for all of us to be in the same place, at the same time, worshipping our Lord.  It was an awesome time in Yeshua!!! We were all blessed and also a blessing!

 

Jerry & Jan Watkins will be leaving for New Zealand November 2^nd, returning December 6^th.  Please keep them both in prayer as they travel and seek to be a blessing.
